Key Responsibilities
General
- Design and implement a robust electronic records management system (ERMS) to effectively store, retrieve, and manage digital records.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive records retention schedule, including regular reviews to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Establish clear document classification and indexing systems for efficient retrieval and access.
- Conduct regular audits of records management practices to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to company policies and regulations.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to address any record-related inquiries or concerns.
- Stay informed about evolving records management regulations and industry best practices.
- Develop and deliver training programs to employees on proper records management procedures, including document creation, retention, and disposal.
- Educate staff on the importance of data privacy and information security related to records management.
Required
- Bachelor’s degree and six (6) years or more of related experience; (4 years experience in lieu of degree)
- Active Secret clearance or above requiring US Citizenship
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in records management, including both physical and electronic records.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with electronic document management systems (EDMS).
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge and understanding of National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) Records Management regulation, policy, guidance and directives
- Knowledge and understanding of DOJ and USMS Records Management regulation, policy, guidance and directives
- Knowledge and understanding of the following Presidential memorandums M-12-18 Managing Government Records Directive, M-19-21 Transition to Electronic Records, and M-23-07 Update to Transition to Electronic Records
- Certified Records Manager (CRM) designation
- Knowledge of and/or experience with a content management solution such as Laserfiche Enterprise Content Management Solution
