Description

SAIC has an opening for a Special Projects Lead located in Chantilly, VA.

The Special Projects Lead plays a pivotal role in driving the National Intelligence market growth and enhancing customer relations. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining long-term relationships with strategic partners and customers, aligning client needs with SAIC capabilities to provide comprehensive, lifecycle solutions. The ideal candidate will utilize their extensive experience to implement both near-term and long-term business strategies aimed at increasing revenue and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. They will work collaboratively with the National Intelligence Market Executive Team, Business Developers and Capture Managers.

The successful candidate will

  • Apply a strong understanding of Intelligence Community (IC) customers, to include leadership, organizational behavior, buying practices, major programs and industry positions, to develop and manage a dynamic, multi-year pipeline of opportunities.
  • Lead the development and execution of an customer engagement strategy aligned to bids and general marketing strategies.
  • Lead strategic planning and positioning for the IC, with emphasis on winning business by delivering differentiated capabilities from SAIC's extensive solutions portfolio.
  • Apply SAIC procedures and best practices to personally identify and qualify opportunities and thereby meet goals for pipeline sufficiency and quality.
  • Support post-qualification capture and proposal development for approved opportunities, particularly in the areas of customer engagement; teaming; and coordination with internal business development and sales resources.

Qualifications

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • US Citizenship required.
  • Must have an active TS/SCI with Poly clearance to be considered.
  • 18 years of related experience in customer relations, business development, and program management.
  • Significant experience in leading cross-functional teams and driving strategic initiatives.
  • Performing strategy development and identification and qualification for complex, prime integration services or systems engineering opportunities with values over $50M , with 9 total years of experience in the federal marketplace.
  • Current knowledge of the IC, including existing customer and industry peer relationships. Knowledge of customer Cyber Intelligence and Digital Innovation offices required. Recent, direct experience with IC programs is a major plus.
  • Outstanding verbal, writing, and inter-personal skills needed to communicate effectively and persuasively with personnel at all levels, both in customer spaces and within SAIC.
  • Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and IC contracting, acquisition trends and customer buying behaviors.
  • Bachelor's with 18 years or more of related experience, additional 4 years of experience will be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree; Masters and 16 years or more of related experience. Masters degree highly preferred.
