Description
SAIC is looking for outstanding Switch Board candidates to join our Defense & Civilian Sector in support of the US Department of Transportation. The DOT Switch Board agent is the first line of contact with the DOT customer base.
This role may not be immediately available.
Switchboard Operator Duties and Responsibilities
- Answer Incoming Calls
- Switchboard operators answer incoming calls and redirect calls to the appropriate personnel or department within DOT in a timely manner, using DOT Directory and Outlook Directory
- Answer / Respond to internal & external DOT large volume telephone calls
- Research internet explorer to assist customer with information
- Clerical Tasks
- Summit Monthly Reports in a timely manner
- Create weekly spreadsheet to record weekly call numbers
- Create weekly spreadsheet for operator's daily numbers
- Record operators number daily in spreadsheet
- Research, collect, and verify directory information for customers and DOT personnel
- Maintain DOT Directory (Ensuring numbers are good)
- Ensuring appropriate staffing
- Train new staff
- Schedule conference request in different locations and time zones. (One Time Conference, Recurring
- Conference and On-Demand
- Create new accounts in the RSB
- Update RSB for all out-processing DOT personnel
Qualifications
Required Experience :
Target salary range : Up to $40,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.
Covid Policy : SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
