SAIC is seeking a Test Engineering Lead to join our team in Huntsville, AL.

Job Responsibilities

• Develops and executes test plans, test cases, and test procedures to ensure that all information systems products and services meet organization standards and end-user requirements.
• Develops test plans, test schedule, and approach. Writes test cases and scripts and identifies data for test scenarios.
• Conducts a walk through on test case/script with Test Managers, Requirement Leads, Project Managers, and Development Leads.
• Performs and leads tests of software and/or IT systems to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects.
• Performs verification activities on work products using defined methods, procedures and criteria with an appropriate verification environment.
• Documents and communicates test results.
• Supports analysis of test results and resolution of open issues.
• Documents and works to resolve all complex problems.
• Reports progress on problem resolution to management. Devises improvements to current procedures and develops models of possible future configurations.
• Creates daily test metrics and reporting.
• Occasionally performs other IT systems engineering activities such as requirements, design, installation, operation, training, sustainment, and support.
  
  

Qualifications

Education Requirements

• Bachelors degree and nine (9) years' experience; Six (6) years' additional experience can be considered in lieu of degree (per contract vehicle).
  
  

Clearance Requirements

• Must possess an active Secret security clearance or have the ability to obtain one; US Citiznship required.
  
  

Required Skills/Experience

• Create comprehensive test plans that outline the testing strategy, objectives, resources, schedule, and approach to be used.
• Develop and implement detailed test cases and test procedures to verify that information systems products and services meet organizational standards and end-user requirements.
• Develop and manage test schedules, ensuring that testing activities are completed within the established timelines.
• Identify and prepare the data needed for various test scenarios to ensure comprehensive testing coverage.
• Facilitate walkthroughs of test cases and scripts with stakeholders, including Test Managers, Requirement Leads, Project Managers, and Development Leads.
• Conduct and oversee tests of software and IT systems to ensure proper operation and identify defects.
