Role: cloud services analyst
Locations: Hybrid onsite schedule in Seattle, WA or Austin, TX
Duration: 3 months
Job Description Details:
- Scope: We are looking for a BizOps Analyst to provide capacity utilization until the GPU contracts expire in the short term. The contractor will support crystal capacity management plan prioritizing of GPU capacity consumption and will conduct a review of GPU request and usage, resource allocation, and business justification/ This person also going to support resource planning during supply constraint environment and after march we will be supply surplus, so won’t need help on prioritizing resource on weekly basis.
Description:
- Own, define and create the financial models for internal cloud services
- Establish standard costs for physical and virtual computing resources
- Produce financial insights on cloud resource understanding and management
- Conduct cost analysis across internal services and public cloud offerings (e.g. AWS, GCP).
- Create and drive process implementation and new tool development.
- Prepare monthly 3rd party cloud forecast spend reviews, partnering with all organization across the company, e.g. iCloud, AI-ML, R&D, Maps, Music etc.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of cloud services and platforms, with exposure to large-scale internet services, cloud and/or infrastructure.
- 2 years of proven experience within a financial team, focused on operational analytics.
- Knowledge of cloud computing infrastructure: 3PC cloud (GCP/AWS), networking, GPU / TPU
- Proven track record to collect, organize, and analyze large financial and operational data sets. Advanced skills in SQL and Excel.
- Tableau experience is must, Python / R is plus
- Great teammate with operational management skills who can work well with both engineering and non-engineering groups in matrix organization
- Excellent collaborator with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering/ computer science, or other relevant field that demonstrates quantitative competence.
