Job Title : Book Production Specialist
Location : Stanford, CA | 🏢 Hybrid | ⏳ 03 Months / Contract
We are seeking a Book Production Specialist to oversee all stages of book and publication production, from manuscript receipt to final print and digital release. This role is the primary point of contact for authors and staff, ensuring smooth production workflows and high-quality output.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage production of books, reports, and digital publications from manuscript to final release
- Collaborate with authors, editors, and internal teams to ensure content quality and adherence to style guides
- Hire and coordinate work with designers, proofreaders, and vendors
- Oversee print and digital production processes, ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget
- Maintain and refine templates, layouts, and institutional branding standards
What We’re Looking For :
Editing or proofreading experience
Long-form publication and print production expertise (books, essays, reports, etc.)
Strong communication skills for email and in-person collaboration
Knowledge of the Chicago Manual of Style (17th & 18th editions) and house style sheets
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (preferred)
