Your Mission
Sailes is currently seeking an expert Financial Controller to join our team and serve as a partner to the company’s CFO, CEO, and Chief of Staff. The ideal candidate will have high energy and high integrity, staying ahead of emerging revenue models in the AI industry (usage-based, outcome-based, and hybrid pricing), while ensuring financial systems, processes, and compliance frameworks are optimized to support dynamic and scalable revenue streams. This individual will be involved in all accounting functions for the Company, with key responsibilities including the following:
Accounting and Financial Reporting:
- Oversee and manage all accounting functions, including general ledger, revenue recognition, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll or commissions, while ensuring GAAP compliance.
- Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for internal and external stakeholders.
Process Improvement and Controls:
- Implement and maintain robust financial controls and policies to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Automate financial processes to improve efficiency and scalability.
Bookkeeping Operations:
- Perform daily bookkeeping tasks and entries in Quickbooks Online
- Automate financial processes to improve efficiency and scalability.
- Maintain supporting Balance Sheet schedules, such as Prepaid Expenses, Accrued Expenses, etc.
- Complete the full cycle duties for A/R and A/P
- Reconcile accounting entries with operational data
- Continuously identify best practices and opportunities to further improve our accounting processes
Strategic Support:
- Partner with the executive team to provide financial insights and forecasts that support strategic decision-making while executing financial operations timely and, on a set, monthly cadence.
- Collaborate on budgeting, financial modeling, and scenario planning to guide growth and profitability.

Required Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in business, accounting, finance, or similar.
- Minimum seven (7) years’ experience in progressive accounting or FP&A, especially related to SaaS or technology businesses.
- Deep knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and applications to SaaS financial models and concepts
- Great organizational, problem-solving, multitasking, and planning skills.
- Extremely high attention to detail balanced with a sense of urgency.
- Expert level experience with Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and Quickbooks
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and complete multiple projects at the same time.
- Desire to be a continuous learner and challenge the status quo.
- Must be able to handle multiple projects concurrently and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships at all levels of the organization.
