JOB TITLE: Housekeeper

Position Summary: This position is responsible for housekeeping tasks at the Country Club on a daily basis. Maintains cleanliness of the Clubhouse/Spa/Tennis Shop/Marina/Golf, mostly indoor but some outdoor vacuuming/sweeping; dusting; cleaning of floors/walls/ceilings/glass/restrooms; maintaining dining room, assist in receipt/storage of rental linens; laundering of Club specialty linens/uniforms/ aprons/towels/floor mats/skirting; performs other duties as requested. Position reports to the Director of Spa, Fitness and Housekeeping.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Laundry
- Kitchen uniforms, aprons, and bar towels.
- Beach, Spa, Golf and hand towels.
- Floor mats and skirting.
- Specialty linens owned by the Club.
- Daily Maintenance
- Touch up glass throughout the Clubhouse.
- Vacuum and treat carpet spots as needed.
- Spa/Fitness Center maintenance, restock sundries.
- Beach Club maintenance before lunch and dinner.
- Ashtrays emptied.
- Dining room maintenance after lunches.
- Restroom maintenance and restock.
- Clean up any spills or accidents.
- Overall cleaning, maintenance, and touch ups of entire Clubhouse.
- Empty trash cans in Executive offices and dust as needed.
- Vacuum and dust Tennis shop.
- Vacuum Golf shop and clean bathrooms.
- Assist kitchen staff in maintenance of break room and employee restrooms.
- All other duties as requested to continue to uphold the First Class standards of
Sailfish Point.
- Constant communication with Department Heads and their individual needs.
- Wear company pager and respond to pages.
- Assist in the receiving and storage of rental linens.
- Dust and maintenance of Marina Shop as needed.
- Communicate any concerns to Spa, Fitness and Housekeeping Director.

- Use log book to communicate needs and issues.
- Utilize checklist to insure all tasks are complete.
- Let Lead Housekeeper know when inventory is low.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Must be able to use commercial grade laundry washing machine, dryer, and ironing board.
- Must be able to use commercial grade vacuums, wet/dry vacuums, carpet cleaners, and floor machine.
- Must have 2 years previous experience in a hotel/restaurant/industrial setting.
- Must have the ability to forecast cleaning and light maintenance needs.
EDUCATION/TRAINING/CERTIFICATES/LICENSES:
- Must have current valid drivers’ license.
- High school diploma or equivalent highly desired.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Position is mostly an indoor setting. Some outdoor vacuuming and sweeping is necessary. Must have good vision to see cleaning needs at a distance and up close. Must be able to be physically active to be able to clean floors, walls, and ceilings. Must be able to climb ladders and lift up to 50 lbs.
