Position Summary: The Dockhand is responsible to assist our Members with all of their watersports endeavors. Performing all duties and responsibilities assigned by the Harbor Master and his Assistant, at an exceptional level to include maintenance of this ship store, boat launch and recover, and retail sales.
Reports directly to the Assistant Harbor Master and Harbor Master
Major Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional service to all Members and guest with all of their water sport’s needs.
- Assists Members and guest with docking and getting underway, fueling, pump out’s, loading and un-loading of vessels.
- Assists Assistant Harbor Master and other Dock Hands with completion of daily, weekly, and monthly task check lists.
- Routinely operates, motor and water vehicles and other various mechanized equipment in a safe and courteous manner.
- Maintains the cleanliness of the entire Marina area including inside the Marina waterways, and removal of seaweed and other debris from boat ramp area.
- Boat and trailer backing operation in close quarters.
- Retail sales in the ship store.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities:
- Boat handling experience a must.
- Trailer boat launch and recovery experience a must
Education/Training/Certificates/Licenses:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
