Job Title: Nail Specialist

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Status: Seasonal, Part-Time
Position Summary: The Nail Specialist will create a welcome environment for clients and provide a range of nail and salon services including buffing, trimming, coloring, and styling nails. Reports to the Director of Spa.
Major Responsibilities:
- Schedule appointments and maintain appointment calendar.
- Discuss nail options with clients, listen to client requests, and ask questions to clarify nail treatment preferred.
- Demonstrate and sell nail care products
- Cut, trim, and style nails
- Keep up to date on new nail styles and techniques
- Clean and sanitize nail care tools including drill, clippers, etc.
- Record services provided on tickets (JONAS?)
- Maintain a clean safe work area, including sweeping floors.
- Answer the phones promptly and use members last name throughout conversation.
- Handle member’s questions and concerns professionally and courteously.
- Maintain company standards in all aspects of client service and hairdressing services
- Ensure that dress code and appearance policies are adhered to.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities:
- Must be able to speak & read English, and listen attentively
- Must have enthusiasm and possess excellent customer service skills
- Must be able to use current phone system and utilize its features
- Must be able to work cooperatively
- Must be familiar with spa software program, such as JONAS/JAM
- Must enjoy working with people and possess a friendly and outgoing personality
- Must be a team player
Education/Training/Certificates/Licenses:
Valid FL Cosmetology license
Working Conditions:
This position requires standing for long periods of time, and have full range of motion. Must be able to climb stairs and lift at least 25 pounds on an occasional basis.
