Position Overview:
The Reservationist is the critical first point of contact for our guests. This role involves providing exceptional customer service while efficiently coordinating reservation requests, optimizing seating arrangements, and accommodating guest preferences with precision and professionalism. It offers an opportunity to be the initial touchpoint for a prestigious dining establishment, ensuring every guest feels valued, welcomed, and eager to return.
Key Responsibilities
Reservation Management:
o Handle incoming reservation inquiries via phone, email, and online booking platform Open Table with prompt and courteous communication.
o Accurately record guest information including special requests, allergies, and other preferences in the restaurant’s reservation management system.
o Maintain an organized reservation system to ensure efficient guest flow and optimal seating.
Guest Interaction and Experience:
o Provide a warm and inviting welcome during all guest interactions, setting the tone for a luxury dining experience.
o Offer knowledgeable guidance on menu offerings, restaurant events, dress code, and any other inquiries.
o Accommodate special guest requests (e.g., celebrations, dietary restrictions) while ensuring compliance with restaurant policies and capacities.
Coordination with the Restaurant Team:
o Work closely with front-of-house staff, management, and culinary teams to ensure a seamless dining experience for guests.
o Communicate any special requests or VIP bookings clearly to the team, ensuring consistent service excellence.
o Assist in coordinating private dining events, group bookings, and special occasions as necessary.
System & Policy Adherence:
o Manage table turnover and waitlists, and track guest no-shows or cancellations.
o Uphold all reservation policies, including deposit requirements and cancellation terms.
o Maintain compliance with data protection regulations regarding guest information.
Customer Feedback & Issue Resolution:
o Respond to guest complaints or issues promptly, escalating to management when necessary.
o Collect and report guest feedback, identifying opportunities for improving the reservation and dining experience.
