Reporting to the Supervisor, Environmental Services, Environmental Services, this position is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, aiding in the prevention of cross contamination, controlling bacteria and odor, and sustaining an acceptable aseptic condition.1. High school diploma or equivalent is required.
2. Ability to communicate and follow written instructions in a fast-paced, team environment is required.
3. Ability to perform basic cleaning functions including the operation of a wet/dry vacuum and shampooer is required.
4. Knowledge of handling procedures for infectious and hazardous waste is required.
5. Experience in housekeeping in an acute care setting is preferred.
