Lead Sterile Processing Technician
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Lead Sterile Processing Technician at our Nampa Medical Center.
About the Role:
- The successful candidate will perform all essential functions of a Sterile Processing Technician, providing training and education to staff and carrying out special assignments essential to department service delivery.
- They will assist in quality/continuous improvement activities to meet Quality Assurance and Joint Commission standards of practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Instrumentation management for assigned specialties.
- Monitor and audit sterilization records, including recall sheets and biological indicator logs.
- Act as a liaison with surgery Equipment Materials and Instrumentation Specialist (EMI) to troubleshoot and resolve issues with instrumentation and sets.
- Perform area specific duties and preceptor role in training and orientating of students and peers.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Maintains CRCST or CSPDT certification.
- Two years' experience in Sterile Processing.
- Leadership skills demonstrated to management.
