Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and personable part-time Medical Assistant to join our team at the Heart Institute Ontario clinic.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support a new APP at our clinic in Ontario, helping with administrative tasks and patient care.
- Perform EKGs, place heart monitors on patients, and educate them on their use.
- Complete prior authorizations and patient calls, as well as tasks in the in-basket.
- Develop relationships with physicians and patients, and provide exceptional service.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- MA certification within 90 days of hire from an approved agency.
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from AHA, ARC, or the Military Training Network required at hire.
