What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeping /Laundry Supervisor position at Saint Anne Communities?

Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- At least one year's experience in commercial/institutional cleaning is preferred, but not necessary
- Knowledge, Duties, and Abilities:
- Be able to read and follow oral/written directions
- Be able to use cleaning devices, correct chemical solutions, and materials
- Be able to communicate effectively with the elderly, staff, and visitors
- Be able to work independently, as well as supervise
- Be able to maintain confidentiality regarding resident conditions and personal matters
- Dust, mop, and wet-mop assigned areas including resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, nursing station, and medication room (under nursing supervision)
- Maintain assigned area kept in clean, aseptic condition to the standards of our facility, department, and as instructed by supervisor
- Refill all soap and towel dispensers
- Restock supply closets
- Transport waste, including wastebasket trash and special bags containing contaminated waste to main collection receptacle or outdoors
- Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and other cleaning duties, as assigned
- Maintain good personal hygiene and adhere to uniform requirements
- Use and store own equipment and supplies effectively, efficiently, and safely
- Clean own equipment and cart at the end of shift
- Use only authorized chemicals and agents as directed
- Display courteous, interested, and tactful manner when dealing with elderly or disabled residents
- Refrain from discussing matters related to resident and staff condition or affairs
- Display helpful attitude to residents, other employees, and visitors
- Clean carpeted areas daily
- Attend all mandatory in-services
- Perform other related duties, as assigned
