What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transportation Coordinator position at Saint Anne Communities?
Responsibilities:
Transports clients to and from various appointments.
Maintain accurate records of transportation activities, including driver logs, vehicle maintenance, and fuel usage.
Collaborate with other departments to optimize transportation processes and improve efficiency.
Works closely with the Admissions Department for resident transportation needs.
Works closely with the Nursing Department in the scheduling of required and needed doctor appointments for the residents and keeps nursing staff informed of the given appointments by sending a confirmation card and working with the Unit Secretary.
Responsible for the general upkeep of the van, taking it periodically to car wash and vacuuming and cleaning inside.
Fills van with gas as needed and each Friday to assure sufficient gas for the weekend
Notifies Maintenance Department of any van repairs needed
Requirements:
High School graduation preferred
Safe driving record according to BMV min 2 years
Valid Indiana drivers license
Pleasant, kind, helpful, and desire to work with elderly
Previous experience in transportation coordination or a related field is preferred.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
