Job Summary: The Clinical Leader is primarily responsible for coordinating patient care and daily unit operations. The Clinical Leader also assists the Patient Care Director with hiring orienting and scheduling staff; performance improvement projects; and other duties as assigned. The Clinical Leader participates in activities to achieve clinical financial and organizational outcomes and may provide direct patient care as needed
Minimum Education Requirements: Associate�s degree or diploma from an accredited school of nursing. BSN strongly preferred; MSN a plus. MA RN license and BLS required; ACLS a plus. AACN or other nursing certification strongly preferred.
Minimum Work Experience: Five years nursing experience required; previous surgical and supervisory experience preferred. For specialty areas related experience and qualifications may be required.
Other skills and abilities: Able to analyze data synthesize and summarize information and make judgments regarding patient care and daily unit operations. Able to support and mentor staff promote outstanding customer service encourage interdisciplinary/interdepartmental collaboration and contribute to the collegial governance process. Knowledge of nursing process social behavioral and biological sciences normally acquired via approved nursing program. Able to provide age and culturally specific care to the population served
Equipment/Software/Certification: Nursing and general office equipment Meditech ANSOS and data base management skills preferred.
