High School Mathematics Teacher
Job Duties:
1. Plan lessons and prepare for math classes as assigned in the math department.
2. Plans a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students.
3. Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and fosters the academic and spiritual development of the students.
4. Encourages students to set and maintain standards of St. Bede’s core values of faith, character, academic excellence, community, stewardship, and justice.
5. Uses a variety of assessments, assignments, projects, etc. to measure student progress and performance.
6. Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records in Teacherease per district policy and administrative regulations.
7. Maintain order in the classroom and an atmosphere of respect doing so in a fair and just manner.
8. Strives to maintain and improve professional competence participating in professional development activities.
9. Attends staff meetings and serves on staff committees as required.
10. Strives to work with other staff members cooperatively, providing a positive, student-centered environment.
11. Display professional standards and promotes a positive school image with actions and words.
Qualifications:
Valid Illinois teaching license or Bachelor’s Degree in mathematics field preferred.
