Responsibilities

• Assist in food preparation and cooking according to established recipes and menu plans.
• Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in compliance with health regulations.
• Support menu planning by providing input on seasonal ingredients and dish ideas.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other culinary tools.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
• Keep the kitchen area clean and organized, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces.
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a kitchen or culinary environment is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy kitchen setting.
• Basic knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques are advantageous.
• A passion for cooking and creativity in meal preparation is highly valued.
• Ability to work well within a team while also being self-motivated when needed.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
