The venue boasts over 90 acres of unique grounds and gardens. We offer three unique event spaces, all while maintaining a personal connection with each couple/client.
We are seeking enthusiastic, motivated and professional individuals to join the team at Saint Clements Castle & Marina - one of Connecticut's premier wedding and event venues!
The Housekeeping associate is responsible for cleaning the estate, before, during and after events taking place. The employee will be responsible for the cleanliness of Saint Clements as well as taking responsibility for the upkeep and safe and responsible use of the equipment and cleaning products. All equipment and products are to be safely stored and secured in the designated area.
The event cleaners will be responsible for cleaning the areas in which the function has taken place. In the case of double events on the same day, this is to be done in a timely and efficient manner, working around other staff and perhaps lingering guests. The cleaning should be started in an area without interfering with departing guests and working your way into the main Ballroom. This needs to be carried out quickly so as not to disrupt the next scheduled event.
Daily Responsibilities can include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for cleaning before, during and after events without disrupting or interfering with departing guests.
- Responsible for the upkeep and safe use of equipment and cleaning products as well as safe storage.
- Making sure that the outside grounds are cleaned including the ashtrays, garbage picked up around building.
- Cleaning all bathroom by using the bathroom check list, replenishing all toiletries as needed.
- Cleaning of the main offices on every other day basis.
- Reporting any maintenance repairs of the building to a supervisor and writing it in the maintenance log located at the front desk.
- Reporting any outages of cleaning chemical or paper goods.
- Monthly cleaning Dusting of the art gallery catwalk, staircases, light fixtures, air vents.
- Deep cleaning of the bars and coolers during the winter months.
- Vacuuming rugs and carpet.
- Polishing of floors.
- Maintaining knowledge and adhering to all Saint Clements Castle policies and procedures established by the company, including but not limited to those in the employee handbook.
- Weekend availability a must.
- Housekeeping Experience Preferred but not required.
