This is an 8 week-long program beginning June 23rd and ending August 15th held at Saint Columbkille Partnership School in Brighton, MA. Teachers in the program are responsible for providing a safe, enriching, and engaging environment for the participating students, ages 3-10.
Lead Teacher
Major Responsibilities:
- Ensure the physical safety and overall well-being of students.
- Maintain a positive climate for students utilizing behavior management strategies.
- Work closely with the Program Coordinator on developing and implementing a summer program curriculum.
- Collaborate with lead aide.
- Supervise aides, junior counselors, and volunteers.
- Develop supportive relationships with students of various ages, cultures, and abilities.
- Maintain positive communication with parents and other program staff.
- Maintain attendance records.
- Assist with special events.
- Perform additional duties as needed.
- Prior teaching experience, a degree in education, and licensure preferred.
- Ability to work as a part of a team.
- Experience with children and knowledge of child development.
- Professionalism, including organizational skills and flexibility.
- Coordinate with lead teacher to provide continuity throughout the day.
- Plan and implement afternoon activities/recreation according to the general calendar.

- Must be 18 years old and/or completed practicum experiences.
- Assist the lead teacher and lead aide in daily activities and lessons.
- Ensure the physical safety and overall well-being of students.
- Maintain a positive climate for students utilizing behavior management strategies.
- Develop supportive relationships with students of various ages, cultures, and abilities.
- Maintain positive communication with parents and other program staff.
- Assist with special events.
- Ability to work as a part of a team and able to function independently.
- Perform additional duties as needed.
- Must be 18 years old and/or completed freshman year of college.
- Assist the lead teacher and lead aide in daily activities and lessons.
- Ensure the physical safety and overall well-being of students.
- Maintain a positive climate for students utilizing behavior management strategies.
- Develop supportive relationships with students of various ages, cultures, and abilities.
- Maintain positive communication with parents and other program staff.
- Assist with special events.
- Perform additional duties as needed.
- Must be 16 years or older.
- Assist the lead teacher/lead aide in daily activities and lessons.
- Ensure the physical safety and overall well-being of students.
- Maintain a positive climate for students utilizing behavior management strategies.
- Develop supportive relationships with students of various ages, cultures, and abilities.
- Maintain positive contact with parents and other program staff.
- Assist with special events.
