Salary: $65,000
Job Summary:
The Supervisor of Home Finding/Intake is responsible for the oversight of the Home Finding/Intake Unit ensuring the maintenance of enough Foster Home beds to meet foster care/respite/therapeutic placement needs as identified by the contract with the ACS. The Supervisor must ensure that there is open, frequent, and regular communication with staff related to non-kinship foster care, kinship foster care and therapeutic foster care to ensure placement resources (foster parents) meet all Agency, City and State compliance measures and standards.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Ensure that all foster homes meet Agency, ACS and OCFS standards for safety and compliance. Supervise the Home Finders/Recruiters in the areas of recruitment, certification and recertification of foster/adoptive parents. Manage the process of kinship resources approvals with the focus of completing certifications within the 90-day ACS timeframe.
Education & Experience:
MSW and/or equivalent and at least one year’s experience in the field of child welfare in Homefinding/Intake. Two (2) years’ supervisory experience required. TRIPP/MAPP certification and PST certification preferred.
Physical Requirements: Ability to travel in the community as needed and good computer skills. While performing the duties for this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate clearly and effectively. The employee is required to stand for long periods and have mobility. The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and /or move up to 25 pounds. skills
