What are the responsibilities and job description for the Digital Communications Associate position at Saint Edwards School?
Working closely with the Director of Marketing & Communications and in collaboration with colleagues throughout the community. Develop, maintain, manage, and execute the Schools digital media strategy across multiple platforms, including the website, app, social media channels, and online marketing presence. Collect, analyze, and synthesize marketing performance data; create and distribute reports that inform strategy and drive decision-making.
Specific Functions:
- Contribute to strategic marketing plans, presentations, campaigns, and marketing initiatives as needed.
- Update and maintain the Schools website, ensuring content is accurate, consistent, current, and aligned with the Schools brand.
- Collaborate with the IT team to ensure the website is functioning optimally and implement any necessary improvements.
- Collaborate with various departments to support enrollment, fundraising, and community engagement goals.
- Ensure consistency of messaging and design across all digital platforms to enhance the Schools brand identity.
- Plan and execute targeted digital campaigns using email and social media.
- Track and analyze campaign performance, providing regular reports on engagement, click-through rates, and other key metrics. Adjust strategies as necessary based on performance data.
- Understand website best practices and ensure content is aligned, including keywords, meta descriptions, tagging, and back-end functionality.
- Analyze web traffic and performance (including SEO and PPC performance, campaign objectives, and any digital marketing ROI and strategies).
- Work to continuously improve user experience on the websites front end and portal pages.
- Provide strategic vision for the School website and maintain brand integrity throughout website text, imagery, video, and design.
- Maintain text and graphic imagery on web pages and create contents as needed.
- Serve as backup for emergency communications when needed.
- Monitor School related chatter online; report potential issues to Director of Marketing & Communications.
- Manage and maintain email campaigns, lists, and collaborate with departments/divisions on email segmentation strategy and list building.
- Meet performance goals established as part of the annual performance planning process or as the result of organizational planning.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of the following skills: Writing, HTML/CSS, SEO, CMS, Blackbaud Systems Management, analytics, social media (Facebook, Twitter, blogging, etc.), video, web design, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workplace (G Suited), Adobe Suite (Photoshop, In Design, and Illustrator), and Canva.
- Multimedia content creation and brand development (copywriting, photo & video editing, graphic design, digital & print)
- Ability to prioritize and manage time well.
- Strong understanding of systems, databases, and emerging technologies with the ability to learn and adapt quickly.
- Excellent interpersonal skills (especially ability to work with faculty, students, and parents).
- Strong grammar skills
- Superb attentiveness to detail and accuracy.
- Available to work occasional evenings, early mornings, and weekends as necessary to provide support of School events.
- Consistent track record of collaboration and juggling multiple priorities.
- Minimum of a bachelors degree, preferably in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, English, or a similar field.
- Work-related experience and demonstrated success in social media management, preferably in an educational or nonprofit setting.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

- Work primarily in a traditional, climate-controlled office environment
