Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for pet owners and their beloved animals, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations of our veterinary practice. Duties
- Greet clients and their pets upon arrival, ensuring a friendly and professional atmosphere.
- Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, procedures, and pet care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and update client information in the system.
- Process payments and handle billing inquiries with attention to detail.
- Assist veterinary staff with administrative tasks as needed, including preparing examination rooms.
- Provide information on pet care, vaccinations, and wellness programs to clients.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the reception area and waiting room.
Experience
Ideal candidates will possess experience or knowledge in the following areas:
- Pet care practices, including basic animal husbandry techniques.
- Understanding of animal anatomy to assist in client education.
- Proficiency in animal handling to ensure safety during visits.
- Familiarity with dog training techniques or veterinary critical care is a plus.
- Experience with aseptic techniques in a clinical setting is beneficial.
