Job Description
The Job Trainer provides needed support, supervision, coaching, mentoring, and training to developmentally disabled individuals in their home and work environment.
- Mentors the client in developing relationships between employer, co-workers, and community.
- Always keeps clients in eyesight and always supervises them.
- Displays patience with the slow changes of clients and can give simple clear instructions, and communicate in a mode, effective with the individual's learning needs and style.
- Documents all daily notes to reflect what occurred throughout the shift.
- Reports all undesirable behavior, such as stealing, inappropriate sexual conduct, intimidation, disobedience and / or disrespect to Executive Director.
- Ensures that clients complete all assigned job tasks and displays appropriate behavior while working in the community.
- Teaches care and respect for Bridgeway property and property of others.
- Follows training guidelines of regulatory agencies.
- Documents all training performed at the job site to include the location, attendees, and subject content.
- Must interact with individuals who receive Supported Employment services.
- Ensures clients' rights are protected.
