Job Summary
The RN first assistant practices in collaboration with, and at the direction of, the General Surgeon. Assists in both the clinical phase of initial evaluation and through the entire continuum of care. Assists with the care of the patient during the entire peri-operative experience. Overall direction of care under the Practice manager, Director and Vice President of Peri-operative services with additional direction, when applicable, of the OR manager and Director of Surgical Services.

ACLS- required within 6 months of hire date

Job Details And Requirements
Education:
- Associate’s degree in nursing- required
- Licensed Registered nurse in the state of Missouri- required
- RNFA or;
- Have sufficient training and experience to demonstrate the required competencies necessary to perform the duties of a Surgical First Assistant
ACLS- required within 6 months of hire date
Experience:
- Previous experience as a clinical nurse- preferred
- Previous experience in the operating room- preferred
