JOB SUMMARY
The Clinical Dietitian provides medical nutrition therapy using the nutrition care process in the assessment and re-assessment of patients/clients in both individual and group settings. The RD will be responsible for the care of inpatient and outpatient populations of different age groups including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Nutrition care will include oral, enteral, and parenteral regimens.
JOB DETAILS AND REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree from a US regionally accredited university or college and course work accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
- Complete an ACEND-accredited supervised practice program
- Passed a national certification examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) to become a Registered Dietitian (RD)
- Valid license as a Registered Dietitian for the state of Missouri
Licensures/Certifications:
BLS- required
Experience:
- Three years of experience in nutrition and dietetics- preferred
- Two years of experience in clinical dietetics and adult education- preferred
