JOB SUMMARY
The Financial Counselor is responsible for the efficient and successful counseling of patients who have been identified to have specific financial needs. The Financial Counselor will provide patients with available financial options including financial liability, payment and pre-payment plans, financial assistance, HSF loans and other payment options. The Financial Counselor will be responsible for working self-pay work queues and providing estimates for services based on benefits provided. The Financial Counselors will be responsible for managing and administering the Financial Assistance Program. Financial Counselors may reside in individual practices based on specific needs. Lives the Mission, Vision, Values and Philosophy of the department and Saint Francis Healthcare System. Constantly works with and maintains restricted or confidential information for many sources within the Medical Center. Any and all duties as assigned by Manager and/or Director.

Education:
High school graduate or equivalent required
Certification & Licensures:

Experience:
Minimum of two years healthcare finance/business experience required
