JOB SUMMARY
Under the supervision of a Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner, Manager, Director and Vice President, the Respiratory Care Technician will deliver direct patient care. The Respiratory Care Technician is a transitional position intended to accommodate a student of an approved respiratory care program or a graduate who has not passed the NBRC exam. The Respiratory Care Technician position will allow for limited practice of respiratory care. The Respiratory Care Technician will demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient. Demonstrates understanding of the unique physical and psychological needs of the pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient and possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information necessary to provide quality care.
JOB DETAILS AND REQUIREMENTS
Type: PRN
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
- Maintains enrollment and successfully completed six (6) months of one, two, or four years AMA approved program accredited by the JCRTE.
Certifications & Licensures:
- BLS Certification
Experience:
- Demonstrated problem solving ability, interpersonal skills and organizational skills.
- Must possess the ability to read and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Must be able to perform simple mathematical computations.
