JOB SUMMARY
Provides patient care services via sonographic exams/procedures utilizing ultrasound equipment as prescribed by physicians. Provides patient care essential to ultrasound procedures.
JOB DETAILS AND REQUIREMENTS
$5,000 Sign-on bonus!*
Type: Full Time (80 hours per 2 week pay period, with benefits)
Typical Hours: Day Shift
Education:
- Associate degree in Science or Allied Health Field required (Nursing, Radiology, Respiratory Therapy, Cardiovascular Technologist, etc.)- required
Must be:
a. Registered Cardiac Diagnostic Sonographer (RCDS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or
b. Or be a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) by the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) within 6 months of hire;
b. Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT).
Must be:
a. Registered Cardiac Diagnostic Sonographer (RCDS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or
b. Or be a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) by the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) within 6 months of hire;
- If not already trained in vascular scans, must be agreeable to cross train and take on of the following vascular registry within 2 years of employment.
b. Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT).
Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire in all units, unless currently certified in ACLS and/or PALS as defined in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk.
Certification & Licensures:

Experience:
Competency in the science and art of ultrasound technology. One year working experience- preferred.
