The primary role of the Guidance and College Counselor is to serve as a resource and advocate for students, to help them achieve academic, personal/social success and to provide expert college and career direction. In addition, the Guidance and College Counselor works as a member of the Guidance and Counseling Department staff to help develop and deliver a comprehensive counseling program for students, with specific responsibilities for students in grades ten through twelve in the area of academic guidance, preparation for college, and navigating the college admissions process.
