Maintenance Technician

Saint Francis Home is a non-profit Assisted Living Community at 65 West Clopton St., Richmond. We are seeking a positive, energetic, engaging, and skilled Full-time Facilities Maintenance Tech.

Full position: Starting at $15.00/hour with an excellent benefit package

General Statement of Duties (not all inclusive):

· Conduct inspections, develop, implement and maintain routine preventative maintenance and quality checks and procedures, routine, and emergency maintenance and repairs (electrical, mechanical, heating, plumbing, carpentry, painting) of all interior and exterior environments, systems, machinery, and equipment of SFH (to include: resident rooms, bathrooms and showers, common areas, halls, staircases, system and facility closets and storerooms, grounds, gardens, sidewalks, parking lots, outdoor furniture, landscaping and etc.)

· Communicate effectively with residents regarding maintenance of their rooms and the facility, and honor work order requests from residents within established guidelines.

· Regularly share, on an on-going basis, rotating departmental on-call responsibilities for after hours and weekends.

· Properly respond to unexpected events such as spills, floods, system malfunctions, personal accidents, etc.

· Take lead in the preparing rooms and ensuring they are in compliance for various inspections and treatments.

· Promote a positive work environment.

Minimum Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED. Two (2) years of experience in providing maintenance and repair services in a long-term care facility; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Must have valid driver license and a good driving record.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
