Health Unit Assistant Position Summary
At Saint Francis Hospital Bartlett the Hospital Unit Associate provides supportive nursing care to meet the needs of individual patients. Takes direction from nursing staff and complies with their directives while performing both Unit Secretary and C.N.A. type duties.
Supports a clinical department or medical staff member(s).
Responsibilities
- Administrative support duties as noted above to also include work of a medical nature.
- Shift: 5:30am - 4:00pm (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday) - REQUIRED
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent and completion of recognized nurse assistant program or an equivalent combination of education and related previous work experience.
Experience
- Required: 3 Years
- Professional Requirement: 25 wpm typing with 90% accuracy BLS certification, basic computer knowledge.
Certifications:
- American Heart Association BLS certification required prior to date of hire.
- Must successfully complete medical terminology course within 90 days of date of hire.
- Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.
