Pharmacy Technician III Full Time Rotating Position Summary
The individual in this position will assist in preparing, packaging, delivering, and charging of medication orders, under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Includes the preparation of chemotherapy and hazardous drugs.
Responsibilities
The individual’s responsibilities include the following activities: a) accurately fill medication orders with correct strength, dosage form, and quantity in a timely manner, b) assure all medications are checked by a pharmacist prior to dispensing. Includes all of the responsibilities of Techy II but also includes the ability to produce chemotherapy and other hazardous chemicals
Education
Required: High school graduate or equivalent
Experience
Required: 3 years of hospital experience
Certifications
Required: Registered Pharmacy Technician license or Pharmacy Technician certification, as required by state law. Accredited training in sterile products preparation.
Physical Demands
Lift/position up to 50 lbs. Push/pull up to 50 lbs. of force. Frequent standing and walking. Frequent reaching, stooping, and bending. Manual dexterity, mobility, touch, auditory to perform all the related duties of the position.
