Nurse Extern I Position Summary: Assist RNs and other healthcare team members in delivering high-quality, compassionate patient care. Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Help patients with mobility, including transferring from bed to chair, repositioning, and walking. Observe and report changes in patient condition or behavior to the supervising nurse. Feed patients or assist with meals, including monitoring dietary restrictions and fluid intake. Communicate effectively with the healthcare team to address patient needs and relay changes in patient condition. Maintain a clean and safe patient environment by adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
Employment Status: PRN 2-12 hour shifts a month, (shift scheduling is flexible and coordinated with the supervisor based on the Nurse Extern's availability. This allows for a balance between academic commitments and hands-on clinical experience. Shifts may include day, evening, night, weekend, or holiday hours depending on departmental needs)

Nurse Extern Applicant Requirements: Must be currently enrolled in an accredited Nursing program Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing & completion of Foundational Nursing courses & first clinical rotations (unofficial transcript is required at time of application submission)
