Job Summary : The Lead, HVAC & Plumbing Craftsman supports the inspection, installation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC, refrigeration, and plumbing systems and equipment within the Saint Francis Health System. This role helps in ensuring projects are completed in a timely manner and in high quality that is consistent with the standards of Saint Francis Health System.
Minimum Education : High School Diploma or GED.
Licensure, Registration and / or Certification : State of Oklahoma Mechanical License or State of Oklahoma Journeyman Plumber License.
Work Experience : Minimum 5 years of experience of related experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities : Working knowledge of basic PC skills. Effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Ability to organize and prioritize work in an effective and efficient manner. Proven ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and manuals.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities : Supports HVAC, refrigeration, and plumbing functions throughout system facilities through the inspection, repair, and maintenance of systems; assists in coordinating work with other trades and crafts. Works with components responsible for the HVAC, refrigeration, and plumbing materials as applies to setting up, programming, repairing, or dismantling of equipment. Maintains required documents such as quality, process and procedures documents. Answers questions, orientates, and instructs staff in the same work performed. Helps with various tasks, such as processing requisitions and materials; and coordinating vendor activities. Collaborates with team members with the testing of maintenance programs and systems.
Decision Making : Independent judgment in making minor decisions where alternatives are limited and standard policies / protocols have been established.
Working Relationships : Coordinates activities of others (does not supervise). Leads others in same work performed (does not supervise). Works directly with patients and / or customers. Works with internal and / or external customers via telephone or face to face interaction. Works with other healthcare professionals and staff.
