Certification and Experience
Cardiac sonographers are required to hold the following certifications:
BLS (AHA), Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) and Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS).
Job Requirements
We are seeking a highly experienced adult cardiac echocardiogram sonographer with strong technical skills, including experience with Philips equipment.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of recent experience in adult cardiac echocardiogram sonography, stress echo and Philips ultrasound systems.
A current understanding of Epic EMR is also essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic cardiac or vascular ultrasound scans to provide accurate images of cardiac structures and measurements.
- Provide immediate feedback with preliminary reports of critical results to nurses and physicians.
- Assist physicians with studies and aid them in complex procedures to minimize associated procedural risks.
Education and Training
A graduate from an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program is preferred.
Schedule and Unit Information
This role requires flexibility during the first few days of orientation, which will take place at Saint Francis Hospital Yale in Tulsa.
Experience in TTE (inpatient and outpatient), TEE, structural imaging, ECMO and Impella placement is highly preferred for this position.
