The Assistant Controller position is responsible for assisting in the effective control over all financial assets, liabilities, income and disbursements of the University and supervision of an appropriate accounting system to maintain proper controls.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Controller in managing the financial operations of the University.
- Supervise and train accounting staff to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain compliance with financial regulations.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations to management.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required.
- CMA certification or CPA license a plus.
- Five years of experience in accounting practices, supervisory experience preferred.
- A thorough knowledge of non-profit fund accounting, tax and auditing systems required.
