Position Overview:
We are looking for a Middle School Teacher who will be responsible for delivering a developmentally appropriate and engaging curriculum that emphasizes Catholic values. The ideal candidate will have experience working with adolescents, a strong understanding of best practices in education, and a commitment to creating a safe, nurturing, and supportive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, implement, and assess a comprehensive ELA curriculum for grades 6-8 that aligns with school and state standards, while incorporating Catholic teachings.
- Plan, implement, and assess a comprehensive religion curriculum for grades 6-8 that aligns with the Archdiocese of Boston Faith Formation Standards.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom atmosphere that supports the academic, emotional, and social development of all students.
- Incorporate a variety of teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse learning styles and needs of children.
- Maintain regular communication with parents/guardians regarding student progress, classroom activities, and school events.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to implement school-wide initiatives and enrich students’ faith formation educational experience.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in education.
- Support the spiritual development of students through prayer, participation in Mass, and faith-based activities.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and behavior in accordance with school policies.
- Ensure a safe and clean classroom environment, adhering to health and safety protocols.
