Toddler Teacher

Toddler Teacher (Ages 15 months - 2.9 years) Saint John Paul II Catholic Academy is looking for a dynamic and experienced Toddler Teacher to join our team. The Toddler Teacher will provide a supportive and nurturing learning environment for all children. This position is open to candidates who are qualified to teach children between ages 15 months and 2.9 years old. Qualifications: - High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred. - Minimum of 6 months of experience working in a childcare setting. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - EEC-required Child Development Coursework completed. Responsibilities: - Develop a careful, creative, and educational program suitable for toddler age group. - Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, media, etc. ) to teach children. - Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and meet developmental milestones. - Encourage children to interact with each other and teach them how to resolve social challenges and disagreements. - Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers, colors, crafts etc.). - Organize nap and snack hours and supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times. - Track children’s progress and report to parents through the GOLD Assessment System and using our FACTS student information system. - Communicate with parents regularly. - Collaborate with other educators. - Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards in line with EEC guidelines. - Comply with all regulations for an EEC-licensed program. Early Childhood teachers at our school benefit from our program Lynch Foundation Early Childhood Grant. Through this partnership, there is also the opportunity to earn a Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Cambridge College.
