Position Overview
TITLE Facilities Maintenance Technician
SALARY From $25.00 To $30.00 Per Hour
CLASSIFICATION Full-Time, Non-Exempt
LOCATION On Site Only – Jackson Rd. Sacramento, CA
SCHEDULE Monday- Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
About the Position…
This position's primary responsibility is oversight for the day-to-day operations of all Jackson property facilities including all facility related repairs, special projects, subcontractor management, and maintenance requirements. This position also manages our transportation/fleet vehicles.
You’ll be responsible for…
- Plan and conduct all repair and installation activities for multiple commercial and residential buildings, including a commercial kitchen, two campus residences, and a children’s program, etc.
- Ensure that designated buildings and facilities are fit for purpose and provide proactive support/solutions when required
- Monitor electrical and hydraulic systems of facilities to ensure functionality
- Oversee, maintain, and inspect all buildings on property
- Collect quotes, make recommendations, hire and oversee outside services if necessary
- Maintain maintenance logs and report on daily activities
- Coordinate ongoing maintenance and inspections to comply with all relevant laws, codes, and company policies
- Supervise upkeep staff (custodians, gardeners, pest, etc.), vendors, and subcontractors
- Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary
- Ensure health and safety policies are complied with
- Work professionally and collaboratively with Saint John's staff and residents
Transportation/Fleet Management
- Maintain accurate records of our fleet of vehicles
- Coordinate maintenance and repair of all fleet of vehicles, ensuring they are in working order
- Work with the Chief Operating Officer to ensure the fleet is properly insured and registered
Facilities Management
- Direct facility operations in a manner which protects, maintains and improves the value of Saint John’s assets and ensures a safe, comfortable and productive environment for our clients and our staff
- Track facilities expenditures (supplies, maintenance, repairs) and report accurately on progress made and challenges encountered within the areas of responsibility during the year
- Oversee ordering of all supplies and ensures supplies on hand meet expected facility needs
- Ensure client facilities, equipment, offices/rooms, and systems are maintained, cleaned, repaired, and serviced in accordance with Saint John’s standards and requirements
- In consultation with the Chief Operating Officer, make recommendations regarding the maintenance and upgrade of utilities, security systems and signage for all Saint John’s facilities
Community Representation
- When appropriate, represent Saint John’s in meetings with program partners
- Contribute when appropriate to the building and managing of relationships with partners and outside agencies
- Other duties as assigned
