About the Job:
Performs all diagnostic EKG procedures and holter applications. Performs all duties related to record transcription and record delivery to proper areas.
What You Will Do:
- Actively demonstrates the organization’s mission and core values, and conducts oneself at all times in a manner consistent with these values.
- Knows and adheres to all laws and regulations pertaining to patient health, safety and medical information.
- Performs EKG’s in a timely and efficient manner.
- Demonstrates age specific competencies.
- Uses a magnet for pacemaker detection.
- Obtains necessary data and orders for patient testing.
- Maintains skills to recognize abnormalities in EKG tracings and reports critical abnormalities to physician.
- Applies holter monitor using proper skin preparation technique. Transcribes all interpretation of EKG’s and holters.
- Cleans all equipment utilizing proper infection control and safety measures routinely.
- Responsible for record delivery to proper areas.
- Seeks input from cardiologists to enhance technical skills.
- Works closely with other departments to provide efficient service to all patients.
- Maintains supply inventories according to volume needs.
- Notifies appropriate personnel of equipment malfunctions and needed repairs.
- Enters appropriate charges for tests through computer system.
- Performs other duties consistent with purpose of job as directed.
What We Are Looking For:
Education: High School Graduate.
Licensure: CPR certified.
Experience: One year’s experience in allied health profession preferred. Computer experience preferred.
Other Job Requirements:
May be required to vary hours, day’s work on holidays and flex or add hours depending upon the needs of the department. Typing skills.
