Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team in the Pediatrics department. The successful candidate will assist with direct and indirect patient care, perform basic medical procedures, and provide administrative support to our physicians and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer direct and indirect patient care as directed by physicians or other healthcare professionals.
- Perform routine medical procedures, such as taking vital signs and preparing patients for exams.
- Assist with scheduling appointments, answering phones, and maintaining accurate records.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues to ensure excellent customer service.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- A high school diploma or equivalent, and/or a certificate or degree from a medical assisting program.
- Current certification as a medical assistant through AAMA, AMT, NCCT, or NHA, or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
- Basic life support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.
- One to three years of experience in a medical or physician office setting preferred.
