Job Summary
Coordinates department(s) activity and performs receptionist and clerical duties for patient care area(s). Utilizes various software programs to facilitate efficient workflow. Works under the direct supervisor of the RN, performs basic care activities.
Job Duties
1) Knows and adheres to all laws and regulations pertaining to patient health, safety, and medical information.
2) Designated as the "Revenue Lead", additional responsibilities will include revenue reconciliation and charge-error correction as specified by departmental process and hospital policy.
3) Ensures communication among care team. Ensures proper call scheduled are updated and information systems are available and working for all members of the care team. Completes and follows up on Work orders and nonfunctioning equipment.
4) Coordinates patient care activities for ordered procedures using the appropriate information system. Uses appropriate information systems & software to assist with patient activities such as scheduling, meals, etc.
5) Performs other duties consistent with purpose of job as directed.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS AND CORE COMPETENCIES
Education: The level of knowledge ordinarily acquired through the completion of high school level courses. Ability to read, write, and spell in English and perform simple arithmetic calculations
Licensure: None.
Experience: None required.
Other Job Requirements:
Knowledge of medical terminology and computers preferred.
