Responsibilities:
The Manager of the Radiation Oncology department is responsible for the overall operations and success of nursing, therapies, wellness and business services. The supervisor is responsible for developing and maintain radiation services to meet the identified needs of the community. The supervisor is administratively responsible for the management of fiscal and personnel resources, performance improvement, information management, strategic planning, marketing, community education, physician/customer relations, regulatory compliance and accreditation. Provides coverage for clinical positions in the department, as needed.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
- Completed a Radiation Oncology education program approved by the “American Registry of Radiologic Technologists” in Therapy; ARRT(T) or completed the necessary clinical requirements as defined by the “American Registry of Radiologic Technologists” in Therapy; ARRT(T).
- Three years experience as a radiation therapist, progressive job responsibilities in a Radiation Oncology department.
- Registered in Radiation therapy Technology (T) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- BLS for healthcare providers certification upon hire and maintain current.
