Responsibilities
Join our dedicated and compassionate team of Nurses at Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet. Saint Joseph Medical is a 489-bed facility and the leading hospital in the Joliet area, where we offer comprehensive specialty and 24/7 emergency care, complemented by our Level II trauma center.
As a Registered Nurse you will be responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Providing direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care within the Medical/Surgical Unit. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her assigned patients. He / She communicates with physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
This is a Med/Surg Post Op unit- Registry II RN role, 7a-7p
Registry II Nurses have the following commitment;
- Minimum of nine (15) posted shifts in a six-week (6) schedule when needed.
- Three (6) weekend shifts in a six-week (6) schedule when needed.
- Two (2) tracked holidays of the Manager's choice.
Qualifications
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
1. Current and valid state RN License.
2. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
3. Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
4. Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
5. Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
6. Ventilator Management experience preferred.
7. Medical-Surgical Nurse-Board Certified (RN-BC) or similar certification; preferred.
8. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Saint Joseph Medical Center - Joliet offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $56.10. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
