Position: Early Childhood Educator (3K)
Teacher Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to three year old pre-kindergarten students.
- Foster a nurturing, caring, and empathetic classroom environment.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, staff, and administration to enhance the overall educational experience for students.
- Incorporate social-emotional learning strategies into daily instruction to promote students' holistic development.
- Utilize scaffolding and differentiation techniques to meet the diverse learning needs of young three year old students in small class sizes.
- Implement play based learning and a variety of assessment methods to measure student progress.
- Engage students through innovative teaching practices and interactive, age-appropriate learning experiences.
- Communicate daily and often with parents and families about student progress, celebrations, and areas of support.
Teacher Qualifications:
- Required: Professional and/or extensive volunteer experience working in a head start, daycare center, or pre-school setting.
- Recommended: Associates degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field. Applicants with alternative degrees or experiences will be considered.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a positive and caring demeanor while interacting with young children, parents, and colleagues.
- Familiarity with a variety of three year old age and developmentally appropriate engagement strategies.
- Willingness to collaborate and contribute to a team-oriented environment.
