What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Housekeeper position at Saint Joseph Villa?
SUMMARY OF JOB
The Housekeeper Lead is responsible for performing daily activities of the Housekeeping department in accordance with federal, state and local standards and Villa policies and procedures. The Lead position is required to be cross trained in all areas of housekeeping and Laundry, and must be able to train others as the need arises. The Lead positions are expected to lead by example, as well as job knowledge.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Resident room inspections per schedule
- Floor care inspections as per schedule.
- Retrieve supplies for co-workers as needed.
- Follow up on daily assignment sheets.
- Maintain floors by dust mopping, wet mopping, scrubbing, refinishing, etc.
- Wash interior and exterior of windows.
- Scour sinks, tubs, and showers.
- Polish and shine stainless steel, ceramic tile.
- Clean offices, resident rooms, lavatories, ancillary areas, etc.
- Maintain carpet by vacuuming, shampooing, extracting, etc.
- Restock supplies of soap, paper towels, toilet tissue, etc.
- Move furniture.
- Collect trash.
- Follow safety procedures to keep work area free of hazards.
- Follow Infection Control procedures including protective clothing/devices when performing tasks.
- Inspect work area after completion of each assigned task.
- Maintain equipment so that work may be completed quickly and efficiently.
- Report repairs to the supervisor / Director.
- Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
- Completes annual compliance and HIPAA training and exhibits behavior as set forth by the Code of Compliance in the performance of their duties.
- Adheres to the Organizations Policies and Procedures regarding the Compliance Program of the organization and is timely in reporting any possible concerns.
- Follows all local, state and federal regulations as they pertain to their position.
- Adheres to the Organization’s Policies and Procedures covering Privacy and Security in Compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Employee has completed annual compliance training and exhibits behavior as set forth by the code of conduct in the performance of their duties.
- Employee abides by the organization’s code of conduct in the performance of their duties.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Director/Supervisor, as needed.
