Job Description Summary
Wellness Center student staff act as the first contact for members and guests of the Wellness Center by providing direction, ensuring member safety, and enforcing Wellness Center policies. Additional responsibilities include monitoring fitness, gymnasium, pool, and equipment room facilities, verifying membership status upon entry, and responding to guest requests. Student staff are expected to serve as an ambassador for Saint Leo University through the delivery of exemplary hospitality to all members and guests.
Job Description
DUTIES AND TASKS :
- Provide phone coverage and walk-in support for members and guests of the Wellness Center
- Resolve member / guest issues in a courteous, respectful manner
- Operate Fusion facility management software as instructed
- Report and seek corrective measures to problems involving facilities and services in the Wellness Center
- Ensure all Wellness Center areas are clean, presentable, and safe for members and guests
- Develop a professional rapport with Saint Leo community, members, and guests
- Monitor gymnasium, fitness floor, and pool to ensure a safe environment
- Provide assistance / spots on equipment and weight machines
- Set up sport equipment and furniture in the gymnasium for special events
- Clean equipment
- Enforce all building policies and procedures
- Equipment room check out
- Execute emergency procedures when necessary
- Report any incident of injury, theft, or broken equipment to the Supervisor on duty
- Attend scheduled staff meetings and trainings
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
