Curatorial Research Assistant - Prints, Drawings & Photographs
Summary
The Department of Prints, Drawings, and Photographs seeks a part-time Research Assistant for 25 hours per week, for twelve months. The part-time Research Assistant will provide vital support for the associate curators in three major areas of department activity: exhibitions; acquisitions; and the Study Room for Prints, Drawings, and Photographs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- The Research Assistant provides research to support an active program of exhibitions in progress with their accompanying publications, checklists, and interpretive texts.
- The RA will support the acquisitions process by researching works and their provenance.
- The RA will help manage the Study Room by overseeing scheduling and monitoring appointments.
Qualifications: BA is required; MA in art history or a related field is preferred. Knowledge of TMS database helpful. Excellent research and writing skills are essential.
Additional Information:
Hiring range: $20.35 - $24.42/hour
Part-time, 25 hours/week
12-month assignment
Eligible to accrue PTO (3 prorated weeks) and Sick time (7 prorated days)
